Sligo County Council is pleased to announce the formal signing of a contract for the construction of 31 new social housing units at Owenmore Crescent, Collooney, Co. Sligo.

The works will be delivered by Vision Built, following their appointment as the successful contractor for the scheme. The development has been designed by Rhatigan Architects and represents a significant step forward in the Council’s commitment to delivering high‑quality, sustainable housing options for individuals and families across County Sligo.
Construction is scheduled to commence in February 2026, with completion and delivery of the units anticipated in Q2 2027.
Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, Cllr Dónal Gilroy, welcomed the signing of the contract, stating:
“This development at Owenmore Crescent is another strong demonstration of Sligo County Council’s ongoing efforts to provide modern, high‑quality homes for the people of our county. As demand for housing continues to grow, it is vital that we deliver developments that are well-designed, energy‑efficient, and integrated into the heart of our communities.”
