How to use Digital Tools for Business & Networking Event

How to use Digital Tools for Business & Networking Event John O’Shanahan, CEO Lean BPI speaking at the Business & Networking Event on the 12th May in the McWilliam Hotel, Claremorris

REBOOT held a very successful in-person Networking event on the 12th May in the McWilliam Hotel, Claremorris. Organisations and businesses from all corners of May, Roscommon and Sligo attended to hear industry experts, John O’Shanahan, CEO Lean BPI, Ailish Irvine, Consultant and Mark Loftus, Founder of PaddyBox.

On arrival, attendees had the chance to network with peers from the region and discuss mutual business opportunities and challenges.  Our MC for the event, Joan Mulvihill, Digital Lead for Siemens Ireland then welcomed attendees and thanked them for the large turnout.  It was then the turn of our speakers to demonstrate the importance of digital tools.  John O’Shanahan summarised his contribution by saying ‘Get digital….or get left behind!.’

Ailish Irvine took attendees on a tour of the numerous easy to access and navigate apps available to help businesses, from organising their images for social media posts, creating customer databases, to managing customer events.

Mark Loftus gave us the business owner’s perspective on Digital, and how vital it was to PaddyBox’s growth trajectory.  Mark added ‘Our business grew by 500% in the last 2 years.  This was only possible because we embraced digital tools.’

Joan Mulvihill then moderated a lively panel discussion and Q&A from the audience, with informative contributions from Sue O’Toole, SWMDC Senior LEADER Enterprise Officer and John Magee, Head of Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Mayo highlighting businesses should take advantage of the help on offer from REBOOT and LEOs.
