Road Restoration West Gardens/ Domnick Street:

Road Restoration works will be carried out on the L 92193/L92180, traffic management will be in place, A 30km.hr speed limit will be in operation within the site.

A temporary road closure will be in place; Local Access will be provided.

Road Restoration Far Finisklin road:

Road Restoration works will be carried out on the L9019 Far Finisklin road, traffic management will be in place, A 30km.hr speed limit will be in operation within the site. A temporary road closure will be in place; Local pedestrian Access will be provided.

Footpath works:

Footpath works on the L 92193/L92180 West Gardens/ Domnick Street and SL9005 Ballytivnan road, temporary footpath closures will be in place.

Mail Coach Road to Burton Street New Link Road Project, Sligo

Some minor work will take place on Pearse Road / Connolly Street / Mail Coach Road and junction / Old Market Street, and minor delays can be expected.

Sligo City Public Realm Enhancement Project:

• Hyde Bridge – Footpath works on south side of bridge.
• Rockwood Parade – Carriageway works ongoing with pedestrian access maintained.
• Water Lane – the southern half of Water Lane will be temporarily closed due to ongoing works.

Local access to businesses on the north side of Water Lane will be maintained.  Pedestrian diversions to Rockwood Parade and surrounding areas will operate via
Castle Street, Thomas Street, O'Connell Street and Tobergal Lane.

Please follow all signage and allow extra travel time.

Drainage, Road marking & pothole repair works will be carried out at various locations across Sligo Drumcliffe. Traffic Control will be in operation as required.

BALLYMOTE AREA:

Local road improvements on the L-5805-0 Ballinafad traffic management will be in place.

Temporary Road Closure – Quarry Lane Elecnor Project 

This temporary road closure extension is necessary to facilitate works at the Quarry Lane Elecnor Project. The period of closure is extended from 17:00 on July 27th, 2026, up to and including 17:00 16th October 2026.

The alternative route for traffic will be as follows:

Diversion Routes Closure of L5204 at Ballysumaghan.

Traffic approaching the closure shall be diverted via: L1202 (Srananagh) R284 (Sooey) L1201 (Cloonagh) L5202 (Drumee).

The reverse route shall apply for traffic travelling in the opposite direction.

Closure of L1202 at Srananagh Traffic shall be diverted via: R284 (Sooey) L52042 (Srananagh) L52041 (Ballysumaghan) L5204 (Ballysumaghan).

Alternatively, where appropriate, traffic may be diverted via: L5204 (Srananagh)

SLIGO- STRANDHILL AREA:

Safety Improvement Works - St Joseph’s Primary School, Collooney:

Works to commence on Monday 10th August for the safety improvement works on St. Mary's Green (L76093-0) and roundabout with Kiernan Avenue (L76096-0) outside St Joseph’s Primary School, Collooney. Works will continue for the next 3 week. Some traffic management and footpath closures shall be required from time to time over the duration of the works.
