SLIGO URBAN AREA:

Far Finiskin \Gibraltar

Temporary traffic lights will be in operation tomorrow Tuesday 23rd July from the hours of 1000 to 1400 to facilitate Pothole Repair. Delays can be expected. SCC apologies for any inconvenience caused .

 

IFN Project:

KN Circet working on behalf of Eir on the IFN project, will be carrying out works at the locations listed below:

Pearse Road, Vernon Street, Charles Hill, Mail Coach Road , Pearse Terrace, Saint Bridgid Place, Saint Edwards Terrace, Markievicz Road, Holborn Hill, Benbulben Terrace, Forth Hill Park, Ard na Greine, City View, Dartry View, Custom House Quay, Lower Quay Street, Queen Store Road

 

SLIGO – DRUMCLIFFE AREA:

N16 Lugatober (Drumkilsellagh to Lugnagall) Road Project

Construction works are progressing on the N16 Lugatober Scheme. Traffic management is in place with a 60km/h temporary speed limit in operation.

Temporary 2-way traffic lights are in place between Castlegal and Lugatober townlands.  This reduces traffic to single alternative flow for approx. 500m.

Delays are expected. Sligo County Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

 

Restoration Improvement and Drainage Works:

R291 Ballyweelin

Road Restoration/ Drainage Works will be carried out on the R291 Ballyweelin to Rosses point Road – Derry. A hard shoulder cycle lane Closure will be in place.

L-7206/L-7213-0 Dargan/Ballyscannell

Road Restoration/ Drainage Works will be carried out on the L-7213-0 Dargan/Ballyscannell. Traffic management and a Road Closure will be in place with signed Diversion in place. Local Access will be provided.

Pothole Repair

Routine maintenance will continue on Regional and Local Roads throughout the County in the coming week weather permitting. A Stop and Go Operation will be in effect.

 

ENNISCRONE AREA:

Carriageway reinstatement and surface dressing works will be carried out on the R297 at Quigabar from Monday 22 July to Thursday 25 July 2024. 

Temporary traffic management will be in place, with the implementation of a stop/go or traffic light shuttle system.

Delays are expected. Sligo County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Footpaths works continuing on Main Street from Golf Course to Duck Street. Traffic lights in operation with minor delays expected.

Works will commence on Cliff Road towards the end of next week. Parking will be limited within the site extents. No delays expected.

Surface Dressing will be carried out on the R297 Kinard, A Stop/Go (Convoy System) will be in operation, Minor delays expected.

Surface Dressing will be carried out on the R297Quigaboy/Quigabar/Leaffoney,  A Stop/Go (Convoy System) will be in operation, Minor delays expected.

Verge Trimming will be carried out on the N59, Traffic Management will be in place, Minor delays expected.

Pothole repair works will continue in the Enniscrone area. Traffic control will be in operation, but no delays are expected.

Drainage repair works will continue in the Enniscrone area. Traffic control will be in operation, but no delays are expected.

 

Easkey village; New water mains installation

No work is planned for this week.

 

Cloona Cemetery, Enniscrone,

Boundary wall construction will be carried out in Cloona Graveyard, Enniscrone, no delays expected.

BALLYMOTE AREA:

Pothole repair works will continue in the Ballymote area. Traffic control will be in operation, but no delays are expected.

Drainage repair works will continue in the Ballymote area. Traffic control will be in operation, but no delays are expected.

 

SLIGO STRANDHILL AREA:

Colas Joint Venture N4 works:

On Monday 22nd July, between the hours of 7pm and 6am, the central median between Tobar Bhride Roundabout and Summerhill Roundabout will be cut under a mobile lane 2.

On the night of Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th July, between the hours of 7pm and 6am the N4 will be closed in both directions between the roundabout at Collooney and the roundabout at Castle Baldwin, for the purpose of carrying out routine maintenance grass cutting. During the closure, traffic will be diverted along the old road. Please note the Drumfin junction will be closed as part of these works.

 

R284 road, Drumiskabole Crossroads to Carraroe; New water mains installation

Work operations will be ongoing on the R284 road. Traffic lights / a stop-go system, will be in operation when required, with minor delays to traffic.

 

N59 road, between Belladrehid railway bridge and Ballysadare

Road reinstatement operations will be ongoing this week. Traffic lights / a stop-go system, will be in operation when required, with minor delays to traffic.

 

Carraroe; L3601 road, between the dual carriageway and Cloverhill

Surfacing operations will be ongoing, with minor delays to traffic.

 

L3603 road, between Jink’s Cross Drumiskabole and the Old Dublin Road

Surfacing operations will be ongoing, with minor delays to traffic.

 

Collooney Active Travel Works:

New footpath construction works will take place on the R290 - Boyle Road.

Temporary traffic lights will be in operation and delays are expected.

 

Carricknagat to Collooney Active Travel Works:

New footpath construction to R290-1 – Carricknagat Railway Bridge to Owenmore River Bridge.

Temporary traffic lights in operation between Junction of R290 and L-2101-46 (Coolaney Road) and Collooney river bridge. –  EXPECT DELAYS.

 

Road Restoration Killery:

Road Restoration will be carried out on the L7604-13 Killery, traffic management will be in place, A 50km.hr speed limit will be in operation within the site.

A temporary road closure will be in place, Local Access will be provided.

Footpath repair works will continue in Cloondara, Ballisodare.
