Tom Kilfeather is a native of Grange Co. Sligo and was educated at Grange N.S. and Summerhill College Sligo. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Tom served his accounting articles with Vincent Raftery FCA, Raftery & Co, Anvil House, Burton Street, Sligo and qualified as an accountant in 1987. He worked with Price Waterhouse as Audit Manager in Limerick for two years before moving into industry in 1990 when he joined Allergan Pharmaceuticals in Westport Co. Mayo. Tom worked in a number of Finance roles for the company over the next nine years eventually serving as Financial Controller. In 1999 he joined Magee Weaving Ltd in Donegal Town as Financial Controller/Commercial Manager. In November 2001 Tom left the private sector to join Sligo County Council as Head of Finance. Tom is married to Pauline, and they have three children, Breege, Grainne and Enya.
