Notice is hereby given of the intention of Sligo County Council to close to public traffic, the R293 Lord Edward Street, Ballymote for a distance of 40 metres from its junction with Emmett Street, Ballymote.

This proposed road closure will be in force between Monday, 28th August, 2023 and Saturday, 2nd September, 2023 inclusive and is necessary to facilitate the installation of New Pedestrian Crossing on Lord Edward Street.

Alternative route for traffic will be via the R293, L1604, L1502 and onto the R293 and vice versa.

Any persons aggrieved by the proposed closure may lodge a written objection setting out the grounds therefor with Ms. Emer Concannon, A/Director of Services, Infrastructural Services Section, Sligo County Council, Riverside, Sligo and received not later than 1.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 9th August, 2023.
