Fallen trees and branches were cleared by Sligo County Council roads crews in many areas of the county throughout the night, including Ballymote, Bunninnadden and Geevagh.

In Sligo town and environs area, Mardyke and Gibraltar Road are closed to traffic due to strong winds and high tide.

Fallen trees are being cleared on N16 Sligo-Manorhamilton Road, Drum Road, and Hungry Rock to Coolaney Road
Motorists and other road users asked to take extreme care on all routes and beware of falling trees, branches and other debris
