FORM OF NOTICE OF THE CONFIRMATION BY AN BORD PLEANÁLA OF A COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER UNDER SECTION 76 OF AND THE THIRD SCHEDULE TO THE HOUSING ACT 1966 AS EXTENDED BY SECTION 10 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT (NO. 2) ACT 1960, (AS SUBSTITUTED BY SECTION 86 OF THE HOUSING ACT 1966) AND AMENDED AND EXTENDED BY SECTION 6 AND THE SECOND SCHEDULE OF THE ROADS ACT 1993, THE HOUSING ACTS 1966 TO 2016, THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACTS 1925 TO 2014 AND THE ROADS ACTS 1993 TO 2015, AS RESPECTS ALL OF THE LAND TO WHICH THE COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER RELATES TO BE PUBLISHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 78(I) OF THE HOUSING ACT 1966 AS AMENDED BY THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT ACTS 2000 – 2016.

COMPULSORY ACQUISITION OF LAND - N4-N15 SLIGO URBAN IMPROVEMENT SCHEME

SLIGO COUNTY COUNCIL

SLIGO COUNTY COUNCIL COMPULSORY PURCHASE ORDER 2017 (NO. 1)

An Bord Pleanála has, on the 28th day of February, 2018, made a confirmation order confirming the above-named Compulsory Purchase Order as respects the land described in the Schedule Part 1 thereto.  The said Order, as so confirmed, authorises Sligo County Council to acquire the said land compulsorily and to acquire temporarily the land described in the Schedule Part 2 thereto.  It will become operative three weeks from the date of publication of this notice. 

A copy of the Order as so confirmed and of the map referred to in it may be inspected at the offices of:

Sligo County Council, County Hall, Riverside, Sligo, F91 Y763;

Sligo County Council, National Roads Project Office, Business Centre, Market Yard, Sligo, County Sligo, F91 KR91;

between the hours of 9.30am to 1.00pm and 2.00pm to 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays (Public holidays excluded) from the 29th day of March, 2018 to the 31st day of May, 2018.

The order also authorises the Local Authority to extinguish the public and private rights of way described in Schedule Part 3 thereto, by order made by them after they have acquired the said land.

An application for Judicial Review of the decision of the Board under Order 84 of the Rules of the Superior Courts (S.I. No. 15 of 1986) may be made to the High Court within eight weeks of the date of publication of this notice in accordance with Section 50 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 as substituted and amended.
