Interviews Made Easy: New Workshop to Help People Succeed in Job Interviews

We are excited to announce the launch of the Interview Made Easy Workshop. This workshop will teach important skills to help people do well in job interviews. The workshop will take place on Wednesday, 9th October 2024, and will last for 3 hours. It will help participants feel more confident, improve how they communicate, and show them how to present themselves as strong candidates for a job.

This workshop will give practical tips on how to prepare for interviews, understand what employers are looking for, and highlight skills that are useful in any job. Participants will learn how to speak clearly and confidently, which will help them succeed in today’s competitive job market.

Venue: Abbeyquarter Community Centre, Cranmore, Sligo

 

Topics Covered:

  • How to prepare for interviews, including aptitude tests, application forms, and online resources.
  • How to do research using word-of-mouth, social media, and referrals.
  • Tips for looking professional, being on time, using the STAR method for interviews, and asking good questions.
  • How to ask for feedback to improve after the interview.

The workshop will be led by Michael Kilcullen, who has over 20 years of experience in customer service, career coaching, and recruitment. Michael is passionate about helping people reach their potential. His friendly and energetic teaching style will help participants feel confident and ready for their next job interview.

This is a collaborative event organised by Abbeyquarter Community Centre, Cranmore Community Co-op, Cranmore Regeneration Project, Department of Social Protection, EmployAbilty NorthWest, Sligo Community Training Centre, Sligo LEADER, and Sligo LEO.
