Councillor Tom MacSharry has been elected Mayor of the Borough District of Sligo Municipal District at its AGM on Monday 1st July.

Councillor MacSharry's nomination was proposed by Councillor Aruthur Gibbons, seconded by Councillor Gino O'Boyle.
Councillor Gino O'Boyle was elected Deputy Mayor.
