Sligo City Public Realm Enhancement Project

Sligo City Public Realm Enhancement Project

Sligo County Council is pleased to announce that works are due to commence on the Sligo City Public Realm Enhancement Project, a major regeneration initiative funded through the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund (URDF) under the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage.

The works will be delivered by Jons Civil Engineering, following their appointment as the successful contractor.

The scheme has been designed by Building Design Partnership (BDP) and represents a key element of the Council’s ongoing commitment to delivering a high-quality, attractive and accessible city centre environment.

The project will provide significant enhancements across a number of key city centre streets, including:

  • Stephen Street
  • Holborn Street
  • Rockwood Parade
  • Water Lane
  • Tobergal Lane

Initial works will take place on Holborn Street and Water Lane, focusing on the installation of drainage and underground services.

Thank you for your continued support in delivering this important scheme.

Sligo County Council is committed to the successful completion of the Sligo Public Realm Enhancement Project. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the Council by email at sligostreets@sligococo.ie or by phone on 071 911 4416.
