Accompanied by their teachers, the Kempten students were warmly welcomed by Cathaoirleach Cllr Gerard Mullaney, who expressed his delight at the continuation of the twinning initiative and the opportunity to host the visiting students.  Cllr Mullaney highlighted the importance of such exchanges in promoting mutual respect, friendship, and intercultural learning.

The school exchange between Kempten and Mercy College, Sligo, facilitated by Sligo Town Twinning, serves as a bridge connecting the two communities.  It fosters cultural appreciation, promotes understanding, and encourages lifelong friendships.
