Green Schools

Green-Schools is a student-led programme with involvement from the wider community that promotes long-term, whole-school action for the environment. The programme is operated and coordinated by the Environmental Education Unit of An Taisce (FEE member for Ireland).

The Green-Schools programme can assist schools with:

pedestrianReducing car-dependancy

butterflyIncreasing species-richness

Sligo’s Environmental Awareness Officer works in partnership with An Taisce to promote and assist the Green-Schools programme in the county.
