HOUSING ADAPTATION WORKS TO LOCAL AUTHORITY HOUSES (HAW) FOR OLDER PEOPLE OR PEOPLE WITH A DISABILITY

Purpose of Grant 

The Housing Adaptation Works for Older People or People with a Disability is available to assist in the carrying out of adaptations which are reasonably necessary for the purposes of rendering a house more suitable for the accommodation of an older person or person with a disability.

Works Covered Under this Scheme

• Provision of rails
• Provision of access ramps
• Stair lift
• Level access shower
• Adaptations to facilitate wheelchair access
• Other – minor works necessary to facilitate the mobility needs of a member of a household
