DEFERRED MOTIONS

  1. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Healy:
    “To call on Sligo County Council for a report on a survey that was to be carried out in 2019 on the safety concerns on the Collooney to Ballygawley Road at the junction to the Dowra Road”
  2. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Healy:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to give some indication when the residents and businesses in the village of Collooney will see the traffic management system in place”
  3. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Healy:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to address the safety concerns with parking and driving in Union Wood due to the increased visitors walking and taking in the beautiful scenery”

MOTIONS

  1. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Casserly:
    “For Engineering and/or Active Travel staff to explore the possibility of availing of funding under the Active Travel Scheme to resurface old bog roads to improve cycling infrastructure for locals and visitors alike in North Sligo including Cliffoney”
  2. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Casserly:
    “To request that funding be sought for the car park in Mullaghmore to be resurfaced including works to be carried out to include kerbing and to also include appropriate access for those with disabilities”
  3. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Casserly:
    “In so far as possible that a one-way system be put in place on local roads in the area when traffic is diverted off the N15 when road closures occur particularly between Cliffoney village and Grange. Some local roads are too narrow for two- way traffic for larger vehicles, creating further safety issues for all road users”
  4. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor D. Gilroy:
    “To call on Sligo County Council in light of the recent accidents at the Junction of the N15 and L-7123-0 to again examine as a matter of urgency the need for a Right Turning Lane from the Northbound N15 turning onto the L-7123-0 the L-7205-0 and the L71214-0 and to examine the turn at Carns School from N15 to L7121-0 to examine what type of Traffic Calming can be put in place”
  5. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor D. Gilroy:
    “To ask for Sligo County Council to reinstate the “Max 3 Ton Signs” on the L 3301-0 on which it is planned to spend €317,380 over the next two years on 1.675km of roadway. And to inform councillors WHEN and WHY the “Max 3 Ton Signs” were removed and who instructed that this weight Limit be removed from this road and if the use of the road by Heavy Vehicles has contributed to the deterioration of this road in the time since the weight restriction was removed”
  6. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Healy:
    “To call on Sligo-Drumcliffe Councillors to set up a meeting with the Council Members in the Manorhamilton Municipal District area to address the safety issues on the road at Fivemileburn in Leitrim and the Calry Road in Sligo”
  7. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Walsh:
    “To ask Sligo County Council for an update on footpath improvements between Collooney to the Railway Station”
  8. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Walsh:
    “To ask Sligo County Council for an update on footpath works between Collooney and Ballisodare”
  9. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Walsh:
    “To ask Sligo County Council to make provision for public lights under Carricknagat Bridge for safety reasons”
  10. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Fox:
    “Calling on Sligo County Council to provide an update in relation to the resurfacing of the car park outside Rathcormac School”
  11. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Fox:
    “Acknowledging the recent upgrade of the walks at Gortnarowey, Barnaribbon, Half Moon Bay, Hazelwood and Lisadell and with the increase in the number of walkers enjoying these trails, I call on Sligo County Council to provide a portable toilet facility at each of these amenities as soon as possible”
  12. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Fox:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to make the necessary arrangements to have a bus shelter provided at Drumcliff Primary Care Centre”
  13. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor D. Gilroy:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to put in place with An Garda Síochána a system of detours for when accidents occur on the N15 road. The roads from Creevykeel to Ballintrillick and Ballintrillick to Mullaghnaneane will have to be widened if this road is to be used as a detour because the road is simply not able to carry the weight of traffic from the N15”
