  1. To confirm the Minutes of the Meeting of  the Municipal District of Sligo held on 15th April 2019 (copy attached and posted on extranet).   
  2. To confirm the Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of the Municipal District of Sligo-Drumcliff held on 17th June 2019 (copy attached and posted on extranet).
  3. Matters Arising.
  4. To appoint two (2) Members to the Sligo Placenames Committee.
  5. Social and Economic Development of Sligo / ’Smart Sligo 2030’ Pilot Project.

 

MOTIONS

  1. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Casserly:
    “That Sligo County Council provide for serviced bins in Drumcliffe Church car-park for the summer seasons”.
  2. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Casserly:
    “To provide an update on the status of the proposed pedestrian crossing in the village of Ballisodare”.
  3. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Healy:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to erect a pole at the junction at Stella Maris on the N59 road and finger sign showing the way to St John's local National School in Ballisodare and also the estate known as ‘Abbey Drive’”.
  4. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Healy:
    “That Sligo County Council would facilitate a meeting with  the ‘Safe Crossing for Collooney Committee’ and that the Roads Department would work with them on putting the necessary paper work together to get funding for a footbridge over the main N4 road to address the concerns of crossing at the roundabout in Collooney”.
  5. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Healy:
    “To call on Sligo County Council for an update report on a previous motion I had down regarding the two roundabouts in Collooney”.
  6. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Fox:
    “That Sligo County Council provide public lighting on the existing pole between Maugherow Church and Maugherow Hall”.
  7. To consider the following motion as submitted by CouncillorT. Fox:
    “To ask Sligo County Council to provide an update in relation to the appalling state of the Calry Road (R278) from the junction of the L7418 road to the Leitrim border and to outline plans for same”.
  8. To consider the following motion as submitted by CouncillorT. Fox:
    “That Sligo County Council provide an update report in relation to the improvement works to be carried out at Clogher Cemetery, Calry, Co. Sligo”.
  9. To consider the following motion as submitted by CouncillorT. Walsh:
    “To ask Sligo County Council to write to Bus Éireann and The National Transport Authority to support the extension of the Sligo Bus Route to Carraroe Centre”.
  10. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Walsh:
    “To ask Sligo County Council to make provision via design and application under the Low Cost Safety Scheme for a pedestrian crossing at Ballygawley Community Park, Ballygawley”.
  11. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Walsh:
    “To request Sligo County Council to review both the speed limit and the safety warning signage on the Union Walk Road coming into the bridge from the Ballisodare village side and coming from the Ballygawley side”.
  12. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor D. Gilroy:
    “To ask for a progress report on the provision of burial grounds at Grange, Cliffoney and Rosses Point to include details of the sites that have been examined and the reason why each site has been rejected or found to be unsuitable”.
  13. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor D. Gilroy:
    “To ask Sligo County Council to assess what type of safe footpath can be facilitated at the following locations and what level of consultation if any, has there been with the adjoining property owners:
    1. Between Oyster Bay housing estate in Rosses Point and the R291 as there is currently no footpath and a very steep hill between these areas and it is extremely dangerous for all users but especially parents with children and people with disabilities”.
    2. Between Lissadell Park and the Oxfield Centre, Carney.
    3. Between Grange village and the Grange Pharmacy/Proposed Primary Care Centre”.
  14. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor D. Gilroy:
    “To ask Sligo County Council for an update on the plans to provide a safe landing for boats licenced to embark and disembark passengers at Inishmurray Island and to confirm if these will meet with the required safety standards as set out by the Marine Survey Office and if the Marine Survey Office is willing to offer help and advice on a suitable design”.
