DEFERRED MOTIONS

  1. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor P. Taylor:
    “To ask that Sligo County Council request a further allocation of funds to the CIS schemes , due to the significantly reduced allocation in 2022 and the high volume of applications approved and enquires to the Scheme.”
  2. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor P. Taylor:
    “To ask for an update on the New N17 Route.”

 

MOTIONS

  1. To consider the following joint motion as submitted by Councillors Mulvey, Mullaney and Taylor:
    “We call on Sligo County Council to launch an information programme about correct waste disposal giving options on recycling and the importance of dog owners picking up after their dogs.

    Also can Business premises be assisted to provide bins outside their buildings for cigarette butts which are a litter problem to assist Ballymote Tidy Towns group.”
  2. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor D. Mulvey:
    To ask Sligo County Council to make safe the junction at Carraun, Cloonacool Road Tubbercurry for traffic exiting from the Carrowreagh Knox Road.”
  3. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor D. Mulvey:
    “To ask Sligo County Council to again contact TII regards yet another recent accident along the N17 at junction L4601 and L1603.  Have the TII surveyed this junction to make it safe for motorists in light of the regular accidents at this junction?  It is only a matter of time before a fatality occurs here.”
  4. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Connolly:
    “To ask Sligo County Council is there any update on finding the owner of lands at Drimrue crossroads Powellsboro with a view to improving the sight line to Tubbercurry approaching from the Leitrim South Road.”
  5. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Connolly:
    “To ask Sligo County Council to contact Bus Éireann for an explanation as to why seats at the front of the 64 bus from Sligo to Galway are still not available for passengers and why passengers are told there are no seats available when clearly there are.”
  6. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Connolly:
    “To ask for an update on the progress with bus shelters at the Tubbercurry and Curry bus stops.”
  7. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor P. Taylor:
    “Due to the Rising costs of Living & More emphasis being put on Public transport, I call on this Council to help make appropriate facilities available in Our Towns and Villages in this Municipal District eg Bus Shelters and associated Works.”
  8. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor P. Taylor:
    “To Ask that Sligo County Council support efforts to have A local link bus service for the Village of Bunninadden.“
  9. To consider the following joint motion as submitted by Councillors M. Clarke and J. Queenan:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to start the process of taking in charge one kilometre of road at Bunnina Dromard there are 9 residential houses and 5 farmers on this road. and road at one kilometre from Ballinphull to Lugdoon Templeboy, this a strategic road of importance to the Council, on the occasion of the main N59 been blocked this a diversion route.”
  10. To consider the following notice of motion as submitted by Councillor M. Clarke:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to prepare a report on what safety measures will be carried out on access to Corkamore graveyard Templeboy, Given that on the advice of the undertaker on health and safety grounds, two funerals in the last 12 months, had to be diverted to another burial ground, i.e. a woman couldn't be buried with her predeceased husband and a daughter couldn't be laid to rest with her predeceased father, the indigenous people are unable to attend to their family plots and the graveyard is continuing to fall into a serious disrepair and dereliction.”
