  1. To confirm the Minutes of the Meeting of the Municipal District of Ballymote-Tobercurry held on 19th October, 2015. (Copy attached and on extranet)
  2. To confirm the Minutes of the Budget Meeting of the Municipal District of Ballymote-Tobercurry held on 12th November, 2015. (Copy attached and on extranet
  3. Matters arising.
  4. To adopt a statement on the draft Local Economic and Community Plan for consideration by Sligo County Council in accordance with section 66C (2) (b) and 66C (3) (b) of the Local Government Reform Act 2014 (Copy attached and on extranet)

 

MOTIONS

  1. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Clarke:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to seek funding from the NRA or the Department of Environment to clean and deepen the stream from the new N59 road at Templeboy to the sea to avert serious flooding that has occurred a number of times, since the new road was built and will continue to flood a number of houses on every red rain weather alert”.
  2. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Gormley:
    1. “Due to the destruction caused to the road by Keash Church as a result of the torrential rain  where the sides of it has been ripped up exposing the watermain, debris out on the centre of road water flowing into farmyards leaving the road extremely dangerous for all road users the council calls for special funding to have extensive works carried out to eliminate this happening in the future”
    2. “Request the National Transport Authority to carry out drainage works on the N17 at Tubbercurry GAA Pitch”.
  3. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Clarke:
    “As under planning application 05/305, the requirement for a pedestrian crossing is no longer enforceable under the planning permission, I call on Sligo County Council to take immediate action to provide a pedestrian crossing in the village of Dromore West”.
  4. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Clarke:
    “To call on Sligo County Council to prepare a report on Easkey Graveyard, and ask if money received from the sale of land purchased for a graveyard at Rathlee, can be ring fenced for works needed at Easkey Graveyard, driveways and footpaths extra”.
  5. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Gormley:
    “That drainage and improvement works be carried out on the Achonry road out of Bunninadden (R517)

    Calling on the Council to have overhanging branches on trees opposite Camross Housing Estate, Ballymote cut as they are obstructing the public lighting system”.
  6. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Gormley:
    “That improvement works be carried out on bridge at the junction of road 429/429A Moylough”.
  7. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor J. Lundy:
  8. “This Council calls on the Government to:-
    1. put an Emergency Action Plan in place to help victims of flooding,
    2. provide extra funding to Sligo County Council to re-instate roads in south Sligo that are severely damaged by the recent flooding,
    3. help the families in Leitrim South, Chaffpool, who are marooned yet again by flooding on Public Road 511C.
  9. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor J. Lundy:
    “To provide road signage/arrows on the N17 Sligo Road, Tubbercurry, each side of the entrance to “Springvale” and “Parklands” Estates in the interest of road safety”.
  10. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor J. Lundy:
    “To ask how many Council houses are vacant in “Mountain View” Estate, Tubbercurry, and when will they be allocated to local people who are in need of housing”.
