  1. To confirm the Minutes of the Meeting of the Municipal District of Ballymote-Tobercurry held on 18th May, 2015.  (copy on extranet)
  2. To confirm the Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of the Municipal District of Ballymote-Tobercurry held on 22nd June, 2015.  (copy on extranet)
  3. Matters arising.
  4. To consider the Draft Tobercurry Local Area Plan 2015-2021 (LAP) – together with the associated Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening Report and Habitats Directive Screening Statement and the Chief Executive’s Report on submissions and observations received in relation to the Draft LAP.
  5. To note report on Sligo County Council Lands at Mullaghroe, Gurteen Co Sligo. (A Request received to Purchase the Property) (Report to follow).
  6. To hear an update on the N17/R294 Junction Improvements 2015 Scheme
  7. To receive a presentation on behalf of the Sligo Greenway Co-op Ltd

 

MOTIONS

  1. To consider the following Motion as submitted by Councillor J. Lundy
    “The Minister for Children James Reilly T.D. has recently allocated €5,000 Euro each for necessary repair works for playgrounds in 3 areas in County Donegal. I will ask if this Council can apply for similar funding for repair works and re-open the playground on the Mountain Road, Tubbercurry”
  2. To consider the following Motion as submitted by Councillor J. Lundy
    “I will ask the Council to consider erecting an art piece or monument to the Gallagher Family of Cashel, Curry in Tubbercurry in recognition of their contribution to the business life of South Sligo. The Gallagher Family set up several businesses in Tubbercurry, including Basta and Tool & Guage, which continues to give employment in the area”
  3. To consider the following Motion as submitted by Councillor J. Lundy
    “I will ask for a report on the upgrade of the water treatment plant at Lough Talt”
  4. To consider the following Motion as submitted by Councillor M. Gormley
    “Now that the Library has reopened in Teach Laighne after its temporary closure in June causing major inconvenience to the general public, we the members of the Municipal District of  Ballymote/Tubbercurry call on the management of the Council to give a commitment that there will be no further closures and that all services including Library and Motor Tax remain  in Teach Laighne in a building the Council own”
  5. To consider the following Motion as submitted by Councillor M. Clarke
    To consider the erection of lights at Templeboy graveyard”

    To call on Sligo County Council to take the necessary action to have this Municipal District officially named Ballymote-Tobercurry-Dromore Municipal District”
  7. To consider the following Motion as submitted by Councillor M. Gormley
    “That we be provided with the up-to-date position on the completion and taking in charge of the following estates;
    1. Flowerhill Estate, Bunninadden.
    2. Woodbrook Estate, Culfadda.
    3. Cois na Habhainn Estate, Gurteen,
    4. Springvale, Fairways, & Parklands Estates, Tubbercurry”
  8. To consider the following Motion as submitted by Councillor M. Gormley
    “That the section of road on Regional Road 296 in the village of Bunninadden (section out the Tubbercurry Road from the village very dangerous) and section at Cloonahinshin where an undulation is a major safety issue, that both sections be repaired as a matter of urgency”
  9. To consider the following Motion as submitted by Councillor P. Taylor
    “As Mount Irwin graveyard is reaching capacity, I will ask Sligo County Council for a report on the intentions to extend the grounds”
  10. To consider the following Motion as submitted by Councillor P. Taylor
    “I will ask Sligo County Council to review the Tubbercurry Local Development Plan in relation to the buffer zones, due to the negative effect it will have on rural development”
  11. To consider the following Motion as submitted by Councillor J. Queenan
    “To ask the County Manager to review the speed limits on the R297 at Main Street, Enniscrone”
  12. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor J. Queenan
    “I call on the County Manager and elected members to carry out a review of the Enniscrone local area plan 2014-2021 in relation to buffer zones.  This proposal will have a negative effect on the development of rural west Sligo”.

    “I ask the County Manager to
    1. outline how many Licences have been issued to carry out commercial  activity on Enniscrone beach this summer and
    2. What action have the Enforcement Section taken regarding unauthorised trading on Main Street, Enniscrone”

    “To ask Sligo County Council to repaint the disabled parking bay outside the Post Office in Ballymote”
