“That Sligo County Council apply for funding to TII to install flashing school warning signs either side of Cliffoney Village to provide a highly visible means of alerting motorists as to the presence of a school taking caution with their speed”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. “That Sligo County Council apply for funding for improvement works to footpaths and road markings in Grange Village”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor C. MacManus:
“That Sligo Municipal Council calls on the Minister of Health, Deputy Simon Harris, to request the HSE to review the decision to restrict the use of Versatis pain relief patches to patients, in chronic pain, outside those experiencing post herpetic neuralgia. And to revert to the pre-December status while this review is being undertaken”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. Healy:
“To call on Sligo Council Council to address the ongoing concern with dumping on Cone lane in Ballisodare and also illegal dumping at a field beside the woodland estate and make funding available to clean it up”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor G. O’Boyle:
“Can Sligo County Council knock down the wall at Avondale (across from Slieve Mor Drive) and replace it with fencing to help stop the illegal dumping going on?” - To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor G. O’Boyle:

“To ask the Place Name Committee to give consideration to placing the name of IRA Captain Harry Benson of Sligo’s ‘Noble Six’ on a street, estate, roadway or any other physical element deemed appropriate”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor C. MacManus:
“To ask what agency has responsibility for river and riverbank clean-up on the Garavogue River. Further, if the Council is the responsible body, to ask for a report regarding illegal littering in the area, specifically along the river and riverbank section between the Markievicz Bridge and Hyde Bridge”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor S. Kilgannon:
“Sligo is identified as a Regional Centre for growth in the National Development Plan 2040, to prepare for that growth I call on Sligo County Council and Bus Éireann to apply for funding for the relocation of the Bus Garage at Lord Edward Street”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by CouncillorS. Kilgannon:
“One in 10 Children in Ireland are obese 10 times the rate in 1975. Sligo County Council calls on the Minister for Finance to invest the 30 million to be collected this year and 40 million in a full year from sugar tax in a special Community Fund that could be invested in sports infrastructure as well as promoting physical activity”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Casserly:
“That 'Free Parking on Sunday ' be advertised clearly at the entrance to every public car park and also at the parking metres”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by CouncillorS. Maguire:
“Further to my previous motion that this council will engage with Bus Éireann with a view to having the old route through Magheraboy added to the daily schedule morning and evening to facilitate the large number of residents of that area”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by CouncillorS. Maguire:
“The council will undertake work at Cullenamore beach to repave the carpark area which has been badly damaged in recent storms and is in disrepair”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by CouncillorS. Maguire:
“The engineering department will conduct a survey to establish whether a traffic lights or roundabout should be installed at the junction of Cleveragh Road and Pearse Road given increase in traffic on the route and the tailbacks that occur there each morning”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by CouncillorT. “To call on Sligo County Council to make a submission to the Department of Agriculture Forest Services opposing the afforestation licence application (no. CN08717) at Innisfree as this is a major concern to the local community”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by CouncillorT. Healy:
“To call on Sligo County Council for an update report on the survey carried out by JBA Consulting on the Owenmore and Unshin rivers and when do Sligo County Council hope to make an application for funding?”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by CouncillorS. Kilgannon:
“That Sligo County Council hereby calls on the Gaelic Athletic Association to ensure any matches broadcast on channels requiring subscription fees are also made available on free to air television in order to allow access for everyone in the country to view matches. This should be done in order to reflect that the GAA is a unique part of Irish culture which belongs to the Irish people and has been built by their efforts along with significant State investment from taxpayers money”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by CouncillorD. Bree:
“That in view of the ever intensifying housing crisis and the significant rent increases imposed by landlords in the private rental sector, this meeting calls on the Government and the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government to- immediately commit to a realistic investment programme in Council housing;
- protect tenants in private rented accommodation from unfair rent increases and guarantee they cannot be unfairly evicted;
- regulate and control increases by linking rents to the Consumer Price Index.”
- To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. MacSharry:
“That Sligo County Council engineering staff would assess the urgent need for footpath upgrade and repair in parts of Oakfield Park Estate in conjunction with the Residents Association”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. MacSharry:
“That Sligo County Council would engage immediately with the National Parks and Wildlife Services with a view to providing signage at Rosses Point beach to deter people from removing large/bulk quantities of sand and stones from the beach”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor T. MacSharry:
“That Sligo County Council in supporting the Irish Cancer Society, call on the Minister of Health to instruct the HSE to abolish any car parking charges for cancer patients at Sligo General Hospital and provide a free parking disc system for cancer patients that is already in operation at a number of hospitals in Ireland”. - To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor D. Bree:
“To ask if the Roads Department intends to erect additional speed limit signage on the Shore Road, Strandhill.” - To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor D. Bree:
“That the meeting be provided with an up to date report indicating- when consultations will commence with the O’Connell Street traders in respect of the refurbishment of the street
- when work will commence on the project
- when the refurbishment work is expected to be completed (d) the estimated total cost of the refurbishment project.”
