“Bus Éireann and the National Transport Authority have failed to provide bus shelters at John Street and Rathcormack in 2015.  I now call on Sligo County Council to install two bus shelters at above locations from its own resources as is done in other Local Authorities in this Country; the cost of installation can recouped from selling advertising on the bus shelters”
  6. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor S. Kilgannon
“To call on this Council to extend the footpath along Road No. 278 from Glenard Housing Estate to the new Housing development, this is necessary for Health and Safety Reasons as people walking this area have to walk on grass as its unsafe to walk on the road due to large volumes of traffic”

  10. To consider the following motion as submitted by Councillor M. Casserly
"To ask the Director of Services to see if any works could be considered to reduce the speed of traffic on the R284 around Jinks's Cross coming from the Ballygawley direction going towards Carraroe and also going towards Ballygawley from Carraroe. Can it be clarified as to what is the speed limit in this area; my information is that it is 60KPH however I would ask if this is the limit as per Council & Department of Transport records. I would also ask that consideration be given to having solar powered speed limit signs erected approximately 200 meters each side of the crossroads on the R284 warning motorists who exceed this limit that they are doing so and they are approaching a dangerous cross roads, similar to the speed limit signs at Scoil Ursula on the Strandhill Road which flash the speed of motorist if they are exceeding the speed limit in the vicinity of the school”
