“That a vote of sympathy be expressed to Councillor A. Parke on the death of his sister, Vera Fitzgerald and that as a mark of respect the meeting be adjourned”.

The Cathaoirleach and the County Manager expressed their wish to be associated with the vote of sympathy to the Parke family and the Fitzgerald family on the death of Vera Fitzgerald.

The County Manager also expressed his sympathies to the Gilmartin family, Ballintrillick, Co. Sligo on the death of Dan Gilmartin, who was a former member of the Sligo County Development Board.

It was agreed to take item 12.

NEW SLIGO BRANCH LIBRARY AND HEADQUARTERS, COUNTY SLIGO MUSEUM, ARTS OFFICE AND ARCHIVE PROJECTS:

AND AGREED

“To note and agree the Councils proposals with regard to the new Sligo Branch Library and Headquarters; County Sligo Museum, County Sligo Arts Office and Archive Projects and to proceed to the architectural competition stage”.

PRESENTATION ON BROADBAND COMMUNICATIONS:

It was also agreed to take item no. 3 without discussion as the presenters had travelled from Dublin.

A representation from McMahon Design and Management Ltd. Dublin gave a presentation on Broad Band Services.
