Minutes of Sligo Local Traveller Accommodation Consultative Committee (LTACC) Meeting on Tuesday 9th September at 10.00am

5. Caravan Loan Scheme (CLS)

3 loans have been approved, and the mobiles/caravans are in place, all families have been informed that they are off the housing list for the duration of the loan. This does not effect CL recipients from previous years. Still no funding for residential spec units.

 

6. Update on progress for TAP 2025-2029

2 families in AHB, 1 LA was done yesterday, waiting to show the family the property

 

7. To Note reports on Capital projects

Noted: it was highlighted that due to the large abnormal costs in relation to the waste treatment in Ballyfree and Cloonamahon the revie within the department is taking a longer. Glenview is to be uploaded on e-tenders this week, with 5-week timeframe.

 

8. To note report on Fire Safety

9. Public sector Duty

An equality and human rights impact assessment at the TAP mid term review and to address any issues identified thereafter. Also to organize Pubic Sector Duty training for all current LTACC members prior to impact assessment

 

10. CENA presentation

Following Brian’s presentation, it was proposed that the LTACC put forward a request to SCC to engage the services of CENA to undertake a feasibility study concerning 3 large families to ascertain their future housing needs.

 

11. Any Other Business:

Horse Project: there is no funding for staff from STSG to accompany the participants of the horse project, STSG to ask the parents of the perspective children to each take turns volunteering.
