Minutes of Sligo Local Traveller Accommodation Consultative Committee (LTACC) Meeting on Tuesday 14th May at 10.30am

5. To Note reports on Capital projects

Noted: Glenview: new staff member starting will take over project, on site 2024. Ballyfree/ Cloonamahon: Jenings, O’Donovan appointed to carry out design of waste connection,

 

6. Update on progress for TAP 1st July 2019-30th June 2024

TAP target for 1st July 2023 -30th June 2024 is 17 and 10 have been achieved to date, 59% of this year’s target. Overall, 96% of targets reached. Discussion was had around counting achievements in area where there were no targets. It was explained that SCC had to overachieve in some areas, to make up for the lack of available RAS/HAP, some projects came in ahead of time.

 

7. Fire Safety

Noted: waiting on company to refill extinguishers. STSG having ongoing discussion with the families on the site about the importance of not misusing the extinguishers, as when they are really needed, they won’t be any use if they are empty.

 

8. TAP 2024-2029

Everyone in agreement with contents of section 1 & 3, disappointment regarding national organizations send out generic submissions and they been submitted late.  Disability housing not to be put in as a target for new TAP.

 

AOB:

  • CLS: SCC currently doing a survey for dept to review loan, STSG sent on their view. Need for residential spec caravans, belief that dept are looking at this as a possibility. Disappointment n number of loans for 2023.
  • CENA: house purchased, waiting on date to move in.
  • STSG submission to CDO: to follow p online to see if their submission got in. CDP has regard for the policies outlined in TAP and any subsequent TAP, this is due to the cross over in plans, What we pit in the next TAP will be recognized by CDP.
  • Members thanked Gino and elected reps for their attendance of meeting and wished them luck in the upcoming elections.
