Minutes of Sligo Local Traveller Accommodation Consultative Committee (LTACC) Meeting on Tuesday 12th December at 12pm

2. To confirm Minutes of Meeting dated 14th May 2023

3. Matters Arising

  • The horse project going extremely well.
  • STSG putting in a submission to CDP in relation to the construction of 5-bedroom properties.
  • STSG have completed their census for HSE and have a figure of 183 families.
  • CENA approval to purchase property under CAS by the elected representatives.

5. To Note reports on Capital projects

Noted: Glenview approved at Council meeting, gone to tender, expected to be on site March 24. IW have agreed to the proposed connection for Ballyfree and Cloonamahon, consultants appointed starting consultations in New Year

 

6. Update on progress for TAP 1st July 2019-30th June 2024

TAP target for 1st July 2023 -30th June 2024 is 17 and 5 have been achieved to date, 29% of this year’s target.

 

7. Fire Safety

Noted: families burning rubbish in and around the sites.

 

Any Other Business

  • STSG thanked Sligo County Council for the support of their projects over the year.
  • Discussion was had regarding families coming off the hosing list if they were provided with a CLS, when a person takes up an allocation in a halting site they must apply for transfer, as they are deemed housed in traveller specific accommodation.
  • Look at the possibility of using modular homes in halting sites, waiting on details from DCC who have approval for 2 under medical grounds.
