Minutes of LTACC Meeting on Wednesday 20th September, 2022 at 11:30 a.m.

5. Update on progress for TAP 1st July 2019-30th June 2024

TAP target for 1st July 2022 -30th June 2023 is 11 and 2 have been achieved to date.

 

6. To note report on Capital Projects

update was given on capital projects,

 

7. Fire Safety

Noted. GK spoke with Fire Officer in relation to fire safety talk for halting site residents, STSG to liaise to arrange suitable timeframe.

 

8. CENA update

CENA is working with several families; Sligo County Council are not going to overwhelm them with referrals to give them a chance to work with current families.

 

9.Midterm Review

HSE

Point 1: noted but no material changes in relation to current TAP

Point 2: Already part of the current TAP, STSG to contact LOE in relation to TIG

 

ITM

Point 1: Sligo County Council have engaged with all relevant bodies representing and working with the Traveller community.

Point 2: Sligo County Council have identified in their current TAP, the data outlined in the recommendation.

Point 3: Removing or adjusting the target for RAS/HAP would give a false indicator of the difficulties in Traveller families obtaining private rented accommodation. At the end of the current TAP there will be tangible evidence based on the targets achieved or not.

Point 4: It was agreed to include a map outlining Traveller specific accommodation, but this is not a material change to the TAP

 

STSG

Point 1: Recording of figures are correct and clarification was sent to STSG by email on the 18th May 2022

Point 2: Individual AHBs are not mentioned in TAP.

Point 3: Families identified are already in the targets set out in the current TAP. Ballyfree/Cloonamahon upgrade already in current TAP.

Point 4: Data requested by STSG.

Point 5: Measures not supported by the Department cannot be included in TAP.

Point 6: LA is not in a position to approve waste collection businesses on halting sites unless by special arrangement.

Point 7: All new builds and planned site upgrades include energy upgrades.

Point 8: Not applicable to TAP.

Point 9: LTACCbusiness not relevant to TAP.

Point 10: Procedural not specific to TAP.
