Sligo County Council inviting submissions on Corporate Plan

Sligo County Council is preparing its Corporate Plan 2020-2024 and is inviting members of the public and local agencies to have their say in setting out the Authority’s strategic objectives for the next five years.

The Plan will include a mission statement, corporate values and priorities for Sligo County Council and will identify priorities for delivering an optimum service for the people of the county.

The Plan will be informed by the Council’s key strategies and policies, including the Local and Economic and Community Plan, the Sligo County Development Plan, and County Sligo Diaspora Strategy.

According to Cathaoirleach Councillor Dara Mulvey

‘The Corporate Plan is one of the most important documents to come before the Council. The objectives and priorities set out in the adopted plan will be the blueprint for our activities across all service areas for the next five years, and we are requesting the communities we serve to have their say in its preparation.’

Chief Executive Ciarán Hayes said

‘At this critical time for our council and our county, we are focused on emerging from the challenge of Covid by maintaining our significant progress of recent years. Extensive consultation is central to the preparation of the Plan, and I believe our status as key centre of economic growth for the northwest will underpin the continued delivery of our agreed priorities.’
