Notice is hereby given of the intention of Sligo County Council to close to public traffic, from Stephen Street, Sligo, Markievicz Road, The Slip, Lake Isle Road, Bridge Street, Thomas Street, Castle Street, Market Street, Grattan Street, O'Connell Street, Knox Street, Hyde Bridge, JFK Parade, Riverside, Doorly Park, Cranmore Road, St. Annes Terrace and Gaol Road.

This proposed road closure is necessary to facilitate the running of the Streets of Sligo 5k event. The period of proposed closure is from 7pm on Saturday 21st June 2025 up to and including 9pm on Saturday 21st June, 2025.

Traffic will be held at Quay Street/Wine Street Junction with O'Connell Street/Knox Street Junction, Lake Isle Road/Bridge Street Junction, High Street/West Gardens Junction, Teeling Street/Castle Street Junction ,Abbey Street/Riverside Road, Cranmore Road/ Chapel Street, Doorly Park/Cranmore Road.

Any person aggrieved by the proposed closure may lodge a written objection setting out the grounds therefor with the Director of Services, Climate and Infrastructure, Sligo County Council, Riverside, Sligo not later than 5pm on Wednesday, 28th of May, 2025.
