TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ROADS

SECTION 75 OF THE ROADS ACT, 1993

Part 8 Roads Regulations 1994 (SI No 119 of 1994)

Notice is hereby given of the intention of Sligo County Council to close to public traffic, the L 1502 namely Pearse Road, Ballymote through the L5508 at Carrigans, Ballymote from its junction with the R293 to its junction with the L 5507 at Sligo Road, Ballymote.

This proposed road closure is necessary to facilitate water main rehabilitation works.  The period of proposed closure is from Monday, 20^th March, 2023 up to and including Monday, 10^th July, 2023.

Local Access to be Provided.

The alternative route for traffic will be via the R293, L5508, L5507, L55072, L5506 and L1502.

Any person aggrieved by the proposed closure may lodge a written objection setting out the grounds therefor with the Acting Director of Services, Infrastructural Services Section, Sligo County Council, Riverside, Sligo not later than 1pm on Wednesday, 1^st March, 2023.
