Revisions to Income Eligibility Criteria
Sligo County Council has been advised that the income eligibility bands for Social Housing Support will increase with effect from 1st January, 2023.
The new income eligibility bands will be as follows:
Single Adult | 2 Adults | 1 Adult 1 Child | 1 Adult 2 Children | 2 Adults 1 Child | 2 Adults 3 Children | 3 Adults 4 Children |

€30,000 | €31,500 | €30,750 | €31,500 | €32,250 | €33,750 | €36,000 |
Households previously assessed and deemed not to qualify on income grounds may reapply for assessment under the new thresholds.
A household whose application was reviewed between 18th November 2021 and 31st December 2022 and which –
- Was removed from the Social Housing Waiting List due to exceeding the thresholds in place at that time and,
- Subsequently reapplies and is assessed as being eligible under the revised threshold,
Will keep the time they accrued and would subsequently have accrued had they remained on the list.
These arrangements will remain in place until 30th June, 2023.
