This proposed road closure will be in force from 07:00 on Monday, 8th January, 2024 and 19:00 on Friday, 9th February, 2024 inclusive.

Temporary Closing of Roads

Notice is hereby given of the intention of Sligo County Council to close to public traffic, the L3601 Oakfield Road from its junction with the N4 on ramp at Carraroe to the railway overbridge.

This proposed road closure will be in force from 07:00 on Monday, 8th January, 2024 and 19:00 on Friday, 9th February, 2024 inclusive and is necessary to facilitate new water main installation on behalf of Uisce Eireann.

Local access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles at all times.

Alternative route for traffic will be via the L3601 Oakfield Road to the Western Distributor Road to the N4 in both directions.

Any persons aggrieved by the proposed closure may lodge a written objection setting out the grounds therefor with Ms. Emer Concannon, A/Director of Services, Infrastructural Services Section, Sligo County Council, Riverside, Sligo and received not later than 12 noon. on Tuesday, 12th December, 2023.
