Temporary Closing of Roads

Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993

Part 8 Roads Regulations 1994 (SI  No. 119 of 1994)

Notice is hereby given of the intention of Sligo County Council to close to public traffic, the L3404 at Lugnagall at its junction with the N16 for a distance of approximately 300 metres to the junction with the L7411.

This proposed temporary road closure will be in force between 9 am on Monday, 30^th October, 2023 and 8am on Monday, 4^th December, 2023 inclusive and is necessary to facilitate construction of new road alignment as part of the N16 Lugatober Scheme.

Alternative route for traffic will be as follows:

1. N16 at Lugnagall townland to the Leitrim County Boundary. From Leitrim Co Boundary to the L3404 to its junction with the L3403 at Glen Lower.
2. N16 at its junction with the L3406 Drum Road, L3405 to its junction with the N15 at Rathcormac, L3403 at Clooneen.

Local access will be maintained to residents, landowners and emergency services.

Any persons aggrieved by the proposed closure may lodge a written objection setting out the grounds therefor with Ms. Emer Concannon, A/Director of Services, Infrastructural Services Section, Sligo County Council, Riverside, Sligo and received not later than 1.00 p.m. on Tuesday, 10^th October, 2023.
