Temporary Closing Of Roads

Cannonball Run 2025 – Road Closures

Notice is hereby given of the intention of Sligo County Council to close the following roads to public traffic:

• Teeling Street,
• Castle Street,
• Grattan Street,
• O’Connell Street,
• Lower Knox Street,
• Rockwood Parade,
• JFK Parade and
• Stephen Street.

This proposed road closure is necessary to facilitate the Cannonball Run 2025 event. Closures will take effect between the hours of 3pm and 8pm on Saturday 13^th September 2025.

Note that parking along JKF Parade will be prohibited from 8am to 8pm on Saturday 13^th September.

Any person aggrieved by the proposed closure may lodge a written objection setting out the grounds therefor with the Director of Services, Climate and Infrastructure, Sligo County Council, Riverside, Sligo not later than 5pm on Wednesday, 20^th of August, 2025.
