It is with regret that the Sligo St Patrick's Day parade committee have decided to cancel this year's annual parade.

The parade committee would like to the committee members and all the parade entries who had started work on this years parade in January and appreciate that a lot of effort and time has gone into getting ready for the 50th annual parade in Sligo - however - the health and well being of our community is our first priority and having reviewed the guidelines from the HSE and the uncertainty surrounding the COVID -19z, the committee feel it is appropriate to cancel this years event.
We would like to thank all past and present committee members, business sponsors and partners, Sligo County Council, Sligo Gardaí, Sligo Leader and our 40 fantastic volunteers who assist with the parade every year.
We look forward to staging Sligo 50th St Patrick's Day Parade with you in 2021.
