‘Their contribution of €5,000 will be of enormous assistance in responding to the COVID-19 challenges in Sligo.’
Sligo LEADER Partnership was contacted in early April by Phibro’s Ottaline Cawley, who was aware of the Community Champion Programme. Managed by Leader, this programme delivers a local response to the societal impact of the Coronavirus outbreak.
Phibro were anxious to ensure that their donation reached the heart of the community and will have the most impact during these challenging times. Sligo County Council established the Sligo Community Response Forum as the entity to coordinate COVID-19 related community supports, to meet the needs of the most vulnerable and isolated in our community.
