A new website has been launched by the Cranmore Education Mentor Programme – an innovative community based initiative of Sligo County Council Cranmore Regeneration Project and the Institute of Technology Sligo.
New Community Education Website
The website supports the work of Dr Celia Keenaghan, who is available to the Cranmore community three days a week to mentor second and third level students and also adults who are looking to retrain, go back to education or just trying to figure out what direction to take.
You can contact Celia from Monday to Wednesday on 085 8751245 or at Keenaghan.email@example.com
People’s experience of the Cranmore Education Mentor:
“The mentoring programme helped me a lot. Celia was very welcoming, kind and helpful. She gave me a lot of information with things that me and my parent did not understand when it came applying for colleges or course or grants. She also helped me a lot with studying ideas when it came to my Leaving Cert which then made it easier to study and made me more motivated to study and I would definitely recommend it to anyone especially people sitting their Leaving Cert”.

“Meeting up with a mentor has helped me expand my knowledge and offered advice when needed.
A mentor has helped me connect with persons for further information and/or learning, services I would of never known about without guidance”.
“Having a mentor to help was great it gave me great confidence in doing it, she reassured me that I was able to and would get it done and I did!! I could also check in with her while doing other assignments, if I had any questions she was there to answer without a problem! Could always link in with her if I needed too. Overall it helped me in my last few months of college as I struggled coming to the end, it was a great experience and am delighted that I had met her!”
