Access the Garda Retail Security Guide.
- PPE is now a desirable product. Businesses should treat these products like they would other desirable products. (See Retail Security Guide)
- When businesses are closed PPE should be stored securely, out of sight in physically robust rooms / strong rooms
- Storage rooms should be alarmed and monitored. Consideration should be given to installing preventative security systems such as smoke release machines
- When businesses are opened PPE should be kept away from doors / windows or behind counters
Businesses should ensure they are sourcing PPE from legitimate sources taking care to avoid fraudsters.
