How many people remember the late Derek Davis and Thelma Mansfield grace our screens on RTE’s ‘Live at three’? Well, Sligo LEADER has teamed up with Liam Horan and the Horan Stand to present a weekly programme hosted on Zoom to connect with the elderly in our community.
Sligo LEADER Live@3
The show will consist of a weekly chat, music and some interviews with well-known local personalities.
Sligo LEADER is also one of the members of the ‘Sligo Community Response Forum’ and one of the activations from the forum is connecting with the community.
‘This is a great opportunity to connect with the elderly in our community and this is what Sligo LEADER is all about’
said Sligo LEADER Chairperson, Fintan Kennedy.
‘We all have a responsibility to help connect with the most vulnerable in our society and we’re asking everyone in Sligo to help connect their loved ones to this weekly programme,’
said Sligo LEADER CEO, John Feerick.
This service is free of charge and you can book a space by emailing sligoliveat3@thehoranstand.com. Sligo LEADER is also looking for musicians, singers and anyone who would be interested in contributing on a weekly basis. Local schools could also provide some stories, letters or poems and this would be very welcome.
