Sligo Green Business Hub
Sligo County Council is delighted to partner with MyWaste.ie to offer the Green Business Hub Initiative in Sligo Town and surrounds in 2025.
The aim of the Green Business Hub is to provide free support to businesses to assist both employees and customers in the following ways:
- To prevent and reduce waste generated, including food waste
- To separate waste into general waste, recycling and food waste
- To utilise MyWaste.ie bin signage and other resources.
Benefit to business
- Free resources and support available: MyWaste.ie are making free signage available to separate waste to General Waste, Recycling and Food Waste. Additionally, Sligo County Council will also provide businesses with onsite support visits, along with guidance and recommendations.
- Reduced business cost: By minimising and recycling waste, businesses have the opportunity to lower their waste disposal costs.
- Recognition for businesses: All participating business will receive a window sticker. In addition, participating businesses will be acknowledged on this website and through social media channels.
- Supports climate action in the community: This initiative promotes a circular economy, thereby helping to reduce the carbon footprint of participating businesses.
