2021 Community Activities Fund

On the 11th November, 2021 the Department of Rural and Community Development announced the launch of a new scheme called The Community Activities Fund (CAF).  This €9m fund is being provided by the Government to support community and voluntary groups impacted by Covid-19.  The allocation to Sligo LCDC under the scheme is €268,168.

This once-off fund will be allocated under the Department’s Community Enhancement Programme.  Accordingly, it builds on the most recent iteration of that scheme by providing funding to support groups, particularly in disadvantaged areas with;

  1. Small scale capital grants of up to €1,000
  2. Capital grants in excess of 1,001 (towards projects not exceeding €7,500 in value)
  3. Grants of up to €2,000 towards ‘recurring’ operational costs
  4. Combination of A + C or B + C above

Completed application forms and accompanying documentation will be accepted only via the lcdc@sligococo.ie email address and by the closing date of Monday 28th February at 4pm.
