TRAFFIC CALMING SCHEME
Sligo County Council in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994 and Section 46 of the Public Transport Regulation Act, 2009 hereby gives notice that it has prepared a Scheme for the provision of traffic calming measures at the following location:
Ballinacarrow Village – In the interests of road safety and convenience for all road users, Sligo County Council is proposing to introduce traffic calming measures at the junction of the N17 National Primary Route and the L6108 Local Road in the village of Ballinacarrow. The scheme provides for a raised uncontrolled crossing, tactile paving, increased footway width, tightened junction layout, relocation of an existing traffic calming island, and associated engineering works.
Plans and particulars of the Scheme are shown on Drawing Numbers 1033-N17-PC-S38-001 & 1033-N17-PC-S38-002. These drawing are available to view on Sligo County Council’s website: https://consult.sligococo.ie/
Representations in relation to the proposed Schemes may be made in writing to the Sligo Regional Design Office through the following two options only:
