How to make an Environmental Complaint with Sligo County Council
To make an environmental complaint you have 3 options as follows:
- Email your complaint to enviro@sligococo.ie
- Make a written complaint and address it to:
Complaints Co-ordinator,
Environment Department,
Sligo County Council,
County Hall, Riverside,
Sligo. - Ring 071 9111 457 / 071 9111 454
In making a complaint it is in your interest to provide as much information as possible. Whatever written method you use, it is advisable to keep a copy of whatever correspondence you send so as to facilitate any necessary follow up.
Please note that the provision of your name and address is important as otherwise Sligo County Council will not be in a position to report back to you regarding the matter complained about. Moreover, the Council may need to contact you in order to obtain more information about the matter and/or directions to the site in question.
If you wish your details to be kept confidential, this must be specifically indicated in your written complaint. Sligo County Council will respect your wishes in this regard within the powers provided under the Freedom of Information Act 1997.
