County Sligo Tourism Strategy

Submissions are being sought to inform the Development of the County Sligo Tourism Strategy 2018-2023

Sligo Tourism Ltd is working in partnership with Sligo County Council to prepare a Tourism Strategy for County Sligo for the period 2018 to 2023. The overall aim of the Strategy is to have a practical and deliverable roadmap to guide and give focus and direction to the tourism industry in Co. Sligo.

Tourism is a significant industry in Co. Sligo providing employment and revenue to a large range of businesses. Sligo as a county has an enormous range of natural, cultural and heritage assets which form the bed rock of its tourism experience. With the advent of the Wild Atlantic Way and the growth in visitor numbers to Ireland in recent years, the tourism industry in Co. Sligo has much more potential to realise. The Tourism Strategy will put in place the framework and actions to fulfil this growth potential for Co. Sligo.

Part of the development of the Strategy is to engage in consultation with stakeholders in the county to ascertain their views and input into the Strategy. Sligo Tourism Ltd and Sligo County Council are seeking your views on the key priorities and opportunities for Sligo in the area of Tourism over the period 2018-2023.
